Heads-up Hold’em

How To Play

Heads Up Hold’em is a poker-based game played with a standard 52-card deck. The object of the game is for the player to have a higher-ranked five-card poker hand than the dealer.

“Ante” and “Odds” are required wagers that the player must place equal amounts on; players may also place optional Bonus Wagers (Trips Plus, Pocket Bonus, & Linked Progressive). All wagers must be placed prior to the beginning of each hand.

Once all wagers have been made, each player, and the dealer will receive two pocket cards, and five community cards will be placed face down on the table.

Players then have the choice to place a “Raise” wager equal to three-times their Ante bet, or to “Check” (not to bet). When all decisions are made the dealer will reveal the first three community cards (Flop).

Players who “checked” in the previously round now have the choice to place a raise wager equal to two-times their Ante wager or check again. The dealer will then reveal the two remaining community cards (Turn & River).

Remaining players must now place a raise wager equal to their ante wager, or “Fold”, forfeiting their ante and odds wagers. Once all decisions have be made, the dealer will reveal their pocket cards and highlight the best possible five-card hand using their pockets cards and the community cards. The dealer’s hand “Qualifies” with a pair or better.

The dealer will then reveal the players’ pocket cards and compare the best possible hands, highlighting the winning hand.

If the player’s hand beats the dealer’s hand:

Raise – Pays 1:1

Ante –   Pays 1:1 if the dealer qualifies.

Pushes if the dealer does not qualify.

Odds – Pays in accordance with the “Win” column in the below table.

If the player’s hand loses to the dealer’s hand:

Raise – Loses

Ante –   Loses if the dealer qualifies.

Pushes if the dealer does not qualify.

Odds – Pays in accordance with the “Bad Beat” column in the below table.
