Lost Property

All lost items will be handed into one of our three cloakrooms and be kept by our host team at the Little Newport Street (LNS) reception desk on the Ground Floor.

Our cloakrooms can be found by our main entrance (Cranbourn Street), LNS entrance, and on the first floor above the Magic Mike Live entrance.

The Hippodrome Casino is not liable for loss or damage of property left in the establishment resulting from theft or gross negligence.

The Hippodrome keep track of all lost or left-over items and are held for seven days. Any unclaimed items after a seven-day period will be donated to charity.

Valuable items such as passports, driver’s licences, bank cards, phones, car/house keys, etc, are held and recorded in a separate, secure area; if unclaimed, they will be disposed of following the company protocol.

Retrieving Items

Our staff carry out due diligence and are as vigilant as possible when handing over items. To collect an item(s) from lost property, customers must provide the date and time they lost the item and give a detailed description of the item, before our host team can authorise the handover. This could include:

  • Clothing – article, brand, colour, any defining accessories.
  • Keys – any defining keyrings/attachments.
  • Phone – make, model, colour, protective case. The customer must then unlock the phone in front of the host team as proof of ownership.
  • ID/Passports – are proof in themselves. The host team can only release the item to the owner.
  • Bank Cards – Owner must provide ID as proof of ownership.

If a customer is not able to collect in person, we can offer the following options:

1. The customer can arrange for a prepaid courier service to collect the item on their behalf from our venue: The Hippodrome Casino, Cranbourn Street, Leicester Square, London WC2H 7JH. They should provide us with information on the date and time that the prepaid courier is scheduled.

Please note, any loss or damage incurred during transit will not be the responsibility of The Hippodrome Casino Ltd.

2. The customer can send a named representative, such as a friend or family member, to collect the item on their behalf. In this case, we must ensure that the designated individual provides a copy of their ID/Passport/Driver’s License to our host team for verification purposes prior to attending the Hippodrome, to ensure the safe and accurate handover of their property to the nominated person.
