Fernando Montaño presents Hollywood Classics at Gala Evening in support of Children Change Colombia
Royal Ballet Soloist Fernando Montaño presents a night of Hollywood Glamour on 21st May 2017 at the Hippodrome Cabaret Theatre in support of the charity Children Change Colombia.
Fernando Montaño, Children Change Colombia’s patron, will be performing some classic dance routines of Hollywood stars such as Gene Kelly and Fred Astaire from the greatest musicals of the 40s and 50s including Singing in the Rain and The Band Wagon.
Guest artists also performing on the night include: Carolyn Rose (former Ballet of Monte Carlo dancer), Axel Zischka (European/World Same Sex ballroom dancing champion), Thorsten Dreyer (ballroom) and Jonathan Hill (first violin of Les Miserables).
Children Change Colombia was established in 1991 and it is the largest UK charity working exclusively in Colombia. We work to defend the rights of the children most at risk in Colombia. Despite increasing prosperity and a recent peace deal with the country’s largest guerrilla group, millions of children still struggle with poverty, inequality, and the threat of violence. Children Change Colombia works to empower these children to transform their lives, their communities and Colombia itself.
Fernando Montaño said: “I am a passionate supporter of Children Change Colombia. They are an amazing charity and I was also really pleased to find out that Children Change Colombia works in the barrio where I grew up, helping young people affected by gang violence and poverty”.
