Hal Cruttenden
Hal is one of the top comedians working in the UK today, as well as being a highly accomplished writer and actor. Over the last year he’s performed on ‘The John Bishop Show’ (BBC1), ‘Michael McIntyre’s Roadshow’ (BBC1) and ‘Live at the Apollo’(BBC1 and 2), the last being his third appearance on that show and most recently ‘Channel 4’s Comedy Gala’(C4) in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital in front of an audience of 16,000 at the O2 Arena, London, to name but a few.
His radio sitcom ‘Hal’ is currently being repeated on Radio 4 and a second series has been commissioned to be broadcast by the end of the year. Other radio appearances include being team captain on ‘Britain versus the World’ and spots on ‘Loose Ends’, ‘Act Your Age’, ‘Chat Show Roulette’ and ‘Four at the Store’ (all Radio 4).
Hal is currently touring his latest show ‘Straight Outta Cruttenden’ throughout the UK and we’re very happy he is taking time out to join us at the Hippodrome this March!

Wendy Wason
An accomplished actress and comedian, Wendy has established herself with roles in Sherlock (BBC1) Coupling (BBC2) and the IT Crowd (Ch4) and numerous other projects, working with everyone from Benedict Cumberbatch to Johnny Depp and John Malkovich.
Whilst her acting career continues, her comedy career has taken off, with getting to the final of Funny Women and semi-finals of So You Think You’re Funny at the Edinburgh Fringe, then heading to America for NBC’s Last Comic Standing, while her charisma and wit ensured packed houses at the Edinburgh Fringe with her much garnered solo shows.
She has performed in all the major UK clubs and was invited to the New York Comedy Festival and charmed audiences there too. She currently performs as part of The Cutting Edge at The Comedy Store in London and has written and stars in her own sitcom for BBC Scotland – Half My Age Plus Seven broadcast in October 2014 and she writes for the Huffington Post.
