ENGLISH: “London Eyes” is the sixth stand-up comedy solo of Rui Sinel de Cordes. Living in London for over a year, the comedian is now open to new realities. The show tackles Portuguese subjects such as “saudade” (missing someone) and also new individual and collective problems combined into something that we will soon be facing. If no one knows the place where we come from, the lesser the knowledge about the place where we are heading. And, by the way, does being apart from Portugal brings the comedian closer to what it means to be Portuguese or does it push him away? Hilarious as always, this new comedy solo makes Rui Sinel de Cordes and his audience face new theories and questions regarding everything he’s seen so far. Because, nowadays, given that every piece of information is made available in larger and faster quantities, it is important to open your eyes to see what really surrounds us.
