The planning application for the multi-million pound restoration and redevelopment of the London Hippodrome in Leicester Square was approved by Westminster City Council in 2006 and the gaming license awarded in late 2008.

This is already having a positive impact on the local community and it is estimated that the venue will create over 300 new jobs once operational, in addition to the significant specialist workforce that is required to complete the redevelopment and restoration in the meantime.
